The principal leadership team of principals and school principals came on board in 2007 and jointly developed a specific academic and curriculum program. The school opened its doors in April 2008 to 547 students from the toddler program through sixth grade. Spread over ten acres of land, we originally occupied three floors of junior school, creative playgrounds, and small playgrounds. Over a period of two years, we expanded into the Senior Wing in 2013, then the Executive Block in 2013, and finally the state-of-the-art Auditorium Block in 2018. Currently, our school strength is 2,258, staff strength is 336, and the student-teacher ratio is 8: 1.
It is our constant endeavor to keep ourselves updated based on the latest research in education and introduce teaching methods and make learning exciting and meaningful for children. Our enthusiastic team of enthusiastic and caring teachers is dedicated and works tirelessly with young minds. Over the past decade, the school has implemented a solid curriculum through its many programs aimed at shaping a well-rounded and rooted student community in its own culture.
The school gained CBSE membership in 2010 and was authorized to submit the IGCSE exam and in 2012 received IB authorization. The first group of our students graduated from the school in 2014, and each successive group did equally well with the class. 2018 sets the bar even higher. Meghna Srivastava won the worldwide CBSE Class XII board examination that year. Our students are housed in prestigious colleges in India and abroad and have courses ranging from engineering, medical and space sciences to economics, finance, and liberal arts, design, and film production to journalism and law.
Our commitment to sports has been fruitful. Our students have been successful in various sports. Footballers began to learn skills on the junior pitch and were then included in the senior pitch. He has won several awards for the school; The girl’s team won the national football tournament in 2018, Mehul played in Sapra UP State and Awaka Singh was the assistant captain of the SAFF U15 2018 tournament winning Indian team in Bhutan. Our basketball players have started learning their games on the outdoor basketball court, but now they enjoy playing with other school teams on the indoor season court. The swimming pool was opened in 2010 and we have not looked back since. Our swimmers have rocked the regional, state, and national levels and our annual inaugural swimming meet is now an important event on NCR’s important calendar. Our special needs student Yash Singh won a bronze medal at the 2015 Special Olympics in Los Angeles. We teach Yoga, Gymnastics, Badminton, Tennis, Table Tennis, Volleyball, and Cricket and have many championships.
Our rich and varied visual and performing arts programs open up the creativity of our students. From our first Form Evening in February 2009, several gradual form evenings emerged at the school to showcase the best talent in music, dance, and drama. The work of our artists, potters, sculptors, and photographers added value to the school’s campus.
Being an inclusive school by design, SBS Noida has thought carefully through its Special Educational Needs Program which provides opportunities for children with various abilities throughout the school life. The school aims to eliminate prejudice and discrimination and develop an environment where all children are valued. The Special Education Needs Division supports students with special needs in both basic classrooms and small group settings. Our students graduated from school with CBSE, IB, and NIOS courses.
At the heart of the school’s philosophy is a commitment to enhancing our service and “service”. From small startups to large programs like a collaboration with non-subsidized schools, which began to support Uttarakhand’s flood-damaged villages, our students are from middle school through twelfth.
