The school has a provision of 10 + 2 education scheme with approved facilities for the academic stream from KG to XII. The academic year runs from April to March of the following year and is divided into two words. Education in values and catechesis is an integral part of the school curriculum for Christians. Physical training, sports, and games are mandatory activities. In addition to being trained in table tennis, basketball, throwball, lawn tennis, volleyball, and badminton, students are trained in yoga, karate, and gymnastics to prepare for inter-school competitions.

Students are encouraged to participate in debates, quizzes, eligibility, arts and crafts competitions, essay writing, etc. Other areas in which girls can hone their skills include social service, creativity, journalism, computers, environmental protection, housekeeping, and Hindu and Western music. Students are actively involved in activities organized by the English Literary Society, Peace Club, Community Service Club, and Environment and Disaster Management Club.

Criteria for Admission to Class XI

Subjects for Class XI :

Science: Core English, Mathematics/Psychology, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Computer, Science/Economics.
Humanities: Core English, History/Physical Education, Sociology/Psychology, Economics/Fine Arts, Mathematics/Political Science.
Commerce: Core English, Business Studies, Accountancy, Economics, Mathematics/Political Science

 

 

 

For internal students
  1. The top 50 students in math and science will qualify for the science stream. A student must have passed the Science course to earn a minimum of 70% of grades in Math and Science.
  2. A student must earn a minimum of 60% in Mathematics and 65% for Commerce streams with Mathematics to qualify for Humanities. A child must obtain a minimum average of 60% in Mathematics to pass Commerce without Mathematics.
  3. For Class X, all UT and Term I will be used for flow assignment (pencil paper test only).
For external students
  1. The entrance exam will be conducted in English (for all courses), Mathematics (for commerce with the Mathematics course), and Mathematics and Science (for the Science course).
  2. To qualify for the entrance exams, a student must have achieved a minimum grade of A2 in Science and Mathematics (for Science Stream) and a grade of A2 in Mathematics (for Commerce with Mathematics Stream).
  3. All students who wish to enter Class XI will be interviewed by the principal.
  4. Based on space availability, students who meet the required criteria will be admitted.

Convent of Jesus and Mary School Discipline

Discipline is a constant practice of willpower, enlightened by the intellect so that it can function fluently and habitually in the correct order and help to achieve self-control ”.

  1. If a student is found to be in constant violation of school rules and missions, they may be asked to leave.
  2. Students staying away from physical education, arts education (visual and performing), library, and club classes will be treated harshly.
  3. Students who attend school before 1:30 pm will not be allowed to leave the school premises.
  4. Indiscipline among students continues to be a problem. Therefore, the school management has decided to adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards the following:

 

  • Cell phones, cameras, laptops, clothing, shoes, gifts, and other devices for friends and teachers are strictly prohibited. If it is confiscated, it will be returned at the end of the academic year with a fine.
  • Intentionally walking away from class on the school campus.
  • Threatening other students in accordance with the protection of children from sexual offenses.
  • Bringing any type of contraband material such as alcoholic beverages or soft drinks with alcohol or any drug or drug.
  • Smoking
  • Damage to school property
  • To collect money without permission to carry out capital transactions or any other money.
